Have burning, shooting, stabbing pain in the area under my left breast with frequent shooting pains in the left nipple area. Beneath my left shoulder shoulders intensive treatment Shoulder arthroscopy Shoulder pain blade is an extremely itchy patchAllergy testing Skin color - patchy - hence the diagnosis of NP. I have had nerveNerve biopsy Nerve conduction velocity blocks and radio frequency ablations. NP could possibly be caused by an impingement/entrapment thing but my MRI doesn't show this. My pain MD now wants to do RFA to my upper right (thoracicEchocardiogram Lung needle biopsy Thoracic aortic aneurysm Thoracic ct Thoracic organs Thoracic outlet anatomy Thoracic outlet syndrome Thoracic spine x-ray Vertebra, thoracic (mid back) area) spine then do some kind of an injection on the left. Another doctor at the Lahey Clinic discussed with me: meds ie neurontin (been there, done that...makes me drowsy and constipated), spinal cord stimulator which is a surgical procedure which may or may not help. This doctor thinks there is a problem with the nerveNerve biopsy Nerve conduction velocity itself. I told him I had shingles last year but the rash was on my right buttock and right thigh and the doctor who diagnosed it said the chicken pox virus was hiding out in my lumbar spine so I don't think my pain is related to having had chicken pox. Has anybody else been diagnosed with this and are there any viable options for me. The itching drives me insane and lidoderm patches don't help. The pain is excruiating when it happens and I never know when it's going to rear it's ugly head. I was hoping there was some kind of a nerve root compression that surgery could cure by relieving the pressure. Help.....I'm desperate.
