Help VP Shunt overdrainage

My daughter had a second vp shunt placed 3 weeks ago. I was told they thought the old shunt was not communicating with the bottom to ventricles since they were enlarged that is why they added the 2nd shunt.  Her ventricles had such increased pressure that she was at risk for it draining too quickly.  Well it did.  The ventricles were drained in less than 24 hours and she had a seizure but no bleed.  We have been dealing with headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting ever since and now some seizure like activities.  Today they did another CT and it showed all four of her ventricles collapsed.  Neurology evaluated her for the seizure like activity.  They all think she may be having low pressure headaches now as well.
Her ICP pressure during a shunt tap 10 days after the surgery would not even register.

  I would like to know how dangerous this can be?  How come our NS is not changing the pump on this shunt or taking the old shunt out.  It has been three weeks and my daughter is only getting relief by lying down.  She had her shunt drain too much fluid when she was little and it caused a bleed.  I don't want my daughter to have anymore brain damage than she already has.  Should I get a second opinion?

Update...after a second opinion the NS agreed it was draining too much fluid and the pump in her shunt is scheduled to be changed.  

I would highly recommend if your ever in doubt get a second opinion.
