Hemiparesis with constant headache

Hemiparesis with constant headache

My husbnd experienced an intense headache about four weeks ago. He purchased some otc medication, and triedto sleep it off. He has had migraines previously, so he assumed that this was the same. The headache continued for another week, and finally went to the doctor. Doc prescribed sinus medication, etc, but nothing helped. He went for a CT scan that picked up a 2mm calcification on the right temporal inferior lobe. His headache continued for another week and had to then be hospitalised. Various tests were run, MRI and another CT scan, Spinal tap, bloods test. Revealed that he has picked up a viral infection in the brain that has caused the hemiparesis. The doctor has not confirmed any diagnosis. Seems like he is baffeled as to what the problem really is. White cell count is 45% more than normal. Doctor has put him on aspirin, but he is still in  pain. He was discharged yesterday, but nothing has changed. He could walk last week, but after a week in hospital, he cant walk with out crutches. He paralysis is on the left side, speech slurred, motor skills poor. Vision is slightly blurred. Doctor says he will get better, and nothing sinister in any of the tests run. Please assist as we are desperate for some advise.
