Hemiplegic migraine and Hughes Syndrome

by prophetaria, Feb 26, 2009 10:00PM
I have hemiplegic migraine and recently learned about Hughes Syndrome.  I will be getting the blood tests soon to determine whether or not I have Hughes Syndrome, but learned that my aunt has this condition.  Are Hughes Syndrome and Hemiplegic Migraine independent of one another, or does having Hughes Syndrome mean that the migraine was misdiagnosed? I just wondered if they can happen independently of one another or if they create one and the same group of symptoms.
Thanks!
