Herniated Disk

by s0usin, May 16, 2008 08:56AM
Had a lower back surgery on 2004 , of course after surgery i start walking again but my back pain is always there i am kind of used to it (i have not had a single day without back pain since 2004) . For about 3 weeks now my back start hearting again and most importantly my right leg the pain goes from my right hip all the way down to my leg.

Is it true that some people say you have to go through multiple surgeries for you back pain. Is it something that i did that caused the pain like lifting heavy object or would not matter.

Thank you in advance for your reply.

i too have not been out of pain !! every day and night i am in pain!!
i am taking oxycodone and i use a device called Acticare TSE
the A cticare is like a TENS  only much better!!
if i were you i would get myself one see www.acticare.com for more info
they dont take all the pain away but they are a good help for anyone with chronic pain
my last  surgery was an emergency .as i got out of bed my back went
so i was taken to hope hospital in manchester uk
i had an L4/L5 laminectomy and a S1 bilateral discectomy and a L5 nerve decompression,i was in hospital for 4 days But after only 2 days the leg pain returned!!
so 7 months on i am still taking the pain killers and not having much sleep

BACKsurgeries are noted for not working .
i hope you can cope with the pain if not try www.spine health {its a live chat room for back/neck problems} if you go on i go as murphy as my screen name
