Herniated L4; L5-S1

I'm 21 and since I was 10 I've had constant back problems. When I was 10 I was told I had a bulging disc in my lower back. I did physical therapy for a while, and it subsided, but eventually the pain would come back. Throughout highschool I was very active, played basketball and ran track. I had some back pain but not as much. When i was 19, my back started hurting again, and I went to see a neurologist and I had some MRIs done and it came back that I had 2 herniated discs in my L4 and L5-S1. I again did physical therapy, and took some anti-inflammatorys, but nothing helped.

Now I'm 21, and my back pain is the worst it has ever been. I don't sleep because I can never get comfortable because theres always pain in my lower back. I've also been experiencing severe pain that shoots down into my left leg. My current doctor wants me to go back to physical therapy, and has put me on he anti-inflammatory Meloxicam. I have an appointment next week with a different doctor for a 2nd opinion, but I'm not sure what they're going to tell me either.

I'm starting to get very frustrated because it's affecting me at work and in my personal life, and I feel I am too young to be having such severe back pain. Are there any other options for me to look into??
