I am 37 year old femaleCondoms Female condoms Female sexual dysfunction. I had an MRI on my back after months of pain and difficulty sleeping and standing up after sitting. The MRI showed a disc problem with the L3 - bulging - preventing nerveNerve biopsy Nerve conduction velocity getting through but not completely damaged - no surgery. I have gone to a therapist for 5 months - physical and also with electrodes. I have been given a series of exercises to do - which I have but the ones involving my hipHip joint replacement Hip pain are just too painfulPainful menstrual periods to do. The back has been somewhat better but certain days it hurts just as bad. 3 months ago a severe pain began on my right hipHip joint replacement Hip pain bone (on the top). It has only gotten worse. I cannot sleep through the night and sometimes can barely stand up. Pain medicine does not help. After therapy it hurts more for several days, lightens and then gets worse. I had an Xray on my hipHip joint replacement Hip pain which did not show anything. I do not know what I should do or who I should see. Should I go to a specialist of some sort? Thank you for any help you can suggest.
Turtle if you've only seen your pcp so far I would recommend that you ask your pcp to refer you to an orthopedic doctor. If the xray on your hip was negative then the pain must be coming from your L3. An orthopedic might be able to give you an injection that could help. Good luck.
