Hi,

A brain cyst can appear as Hole in brain on MRI/CT. Can you provide some more datails? MRI findings? Patient complaints etc.?

He has complained of lightheadedness & tingleing in his extremeties in the past.  He doesn't remember hitting his head.  MRI has ruled out cancer

Usually the radiologist who reads the MRI will suggest possibilities for the cause, did you read the report? what did his doctor think it was?  perhaps he had a past infection that healed, like a small abscess? Some have a tear in the lining around the brain which can cause cerebral spinal fluid leak, can be spontaneous. You didn't say where exactly it is. Good luck!
