Hot head, fatigue, painful spots on head

Hot head, fatigue, painful spots on head

Hello,

I have been dealing with this problem for 2 months now.

My head feels as though I have high fever, but my body does not have a fever, I have taken my temperature numerous times without any indication of heat. Normally it is around 98.4 degrees.

I have two points on my head that are painful to touch, however when I place a hot bottle of water on those points, the heat on my head is alleviated for a brief period of time, usually 3-5 minutes.  Also once I remove the bottle of hot water I begin to experience headaches.

Often I have a dizzy feeling after any type of labor.  I also have the pain isolated to the left side of my head.

When I use the hot tub, my forehead stops feeling hot, and I have general relief, but this stops within 5 minutes of leaving the hot tub, and my head heats back up again.

I also notice some floaters in my vision, however an eye doctor ruled out anything suspicious.

I recently had a CT scan which came back negative for tumors or other brain abnormalities.

I have a history of circulation problems, and I often have cold feet and hands. In addition I have a scoliosis, but my back is not more then 15 degrees of curvature at any one point.

I believe that I may have severe circulation problems and as a result decreased blood flow to the head and the warming feelings associated with that.

I have a sore spot on the back of my head & on the front on the left side.
I don't really know what it is, but it kinda switches off spot & I don't have any circulation problems I got a cat scan not to long ago as well & nothing showed up I don't know what to do or what could be causing it.

Wow, i've never found anyone with more similar symptoms. My head is also hot all the time, with no fever. I have cold hands & feet. For the past 6 mos. I've been getting a sore, painful spot on the back left side of my head. Just recently I've been getting a sore, tender spot on the right side as well. I have mild eye pain, but no floaters in vision. I also get dizzy after too much physical activity. I get pressure in my ears. I've had a negative CT scan & negative blood test. I've been to my doc 4 times in the past 5 months, and also seen a neurologist and ENT. They haven't found anything wrong. If anyone discovers something, please let me know!

I have recently started having a hot head, etc. problem. so I googled and saw your post.  I couldn't believe that I saw someone else describing just what is happening to me.  One thing in particular that I noticed upon reading your post was the mention of the hot tub.  I just got a hot tub in July and the symptoms started a few weeks later.  I have been wondering if perhaps I am having a reaction to the spa chemicals.  Have you been screened for that?

I have the same symptoms as you describe, and another interesting thing is that I also have Scoliosis, my curve was much more severe with an "S" curve at 35 & 55. I had major spinal fusion when I was 14 and 15 years old. The sore spots on my head seem to be around the back towards the top where the skill plates join. I don't have very many headaches, but do have one occasionally and when I do they usually don't go away for an entire day no matter what I take.

I too have a "hot feeling" in my head quite constantly with no temp.  Has anyone found any solutions?!?!? I also have been diagnosed with Scoliosis but it's VERY slight, and when I do have headaches (not daily, but often enough), they don't go away with tylonol, advil etc.

i have this same problem too and my doctor did mention something about hearing about it and saying that there might be a increase or decrease in blood flow in that one particular spot, he said in some cases people have been known to have strocs by not eating enough or getting hit on that spot extremely hard. he says its been known to happen to random people apparently but he still told me to go see a neurologist that MIGHT be able to help me. If he does the ill let every one know on what it is and how to get rid of it. or if we have to live with it until the figure out what to do sometime in the future.

Hi from the UK, well looks like I'm not alone, hot areas and tender areas on my head, confusion and dizziness for no apparent reason and sudden temperature rises like I'm having an attack of some kind.  I've had blood tests, heart monitors, head scans...all to no resolution.

My eight year old granddaughter has been having the same symptoms lately. Does anyone know what it could be?

Oh my gosh. Since 2007 I have been experiencing the "hot-head" symptom with no fever! I can't say that I've had any tender spots on the head but for a while there I would have attacks of increasing body temperature, delirousness, and slurred speech. Over the past 3 years it's just fatigue and random outbreaks of the "hot-head" symptom.

I do have a slight case of scoliosis and poor blood circulation, aswell.

For an entire year I was in the doctor's office and Blood Corp and they couldn't find anything wrong.

I seriously thought I was going insane or that something has been seriously wrong with me. This is crazy. I am so RELIEVED to have stumbled across this post.

If anyone know's what this actually is and the treatment that goes along. please do share :)

I am an 18 yer old bodybuilder and i feel the same thing except with no scoliosis. I have got an MRI a CT scan and there is nothing except for my brain being slightly out of place, but i only started feeling it about 1 year ago. Incredable that some others feel this horrible feeling. Also the hotness usually is more uncomfortable when i have a sore throat for some reason. I have found a remedy that temporarily makes it go away. When I work out really late at like 9 P.M. the feeling temporirly goes away until i go to bed. then when i wake up its right back. If i work out earlier than that, then the feeling just comes back before i go to sleep. SOMEONE HELP.

I have scoliosis, purple toes and sweating head.....not nice!  I am on as many pain medications as my doctor can prescribe and have been diagnosed as having Fibromyalgia and TMJ (jaw).  I think sleeping on my stomach has caused some of the problems.  I find powerful magnets and meditation helpful.

Wow! I have all this crazy syptoms (symptoms) too. I have head headaches since summer. Then in Feb I started getting them everyday. Now in last to weeks I have had hotspots and almost like a crawling feeling under my skin (on my head) and sore spots. Some parts of the day it's really intense other timeit lets up. But it has been with me everyday for almost two weeks. I don't ave Scoliosis. I do have a Auto immune disease similar to Lupas. I have had an MRI and some blood tests, NOTHING. Going to try and get a Cat scan next. If anything comes up I will post to try and help anyone I can. I thought I was going crazy too.

Hi!  I'm a  63 year old, 5'6" male, 140 lbs.  I eat mostly organic food and stay quite active. Up till recently, I have not been one to have any kind of headaches...except for in my younger years of drinking/smoking events.  On Nov 7, 20ll in the middle of the afternoon, I experienced a severe headache that I had to come inside and take hydrocodone to get any relief.  They repeatedly occured for the next few days at around the same time.  They have since become less severe, but are present as a low grade to mild headache nearly all the time.  In addition to the daily low grade head pain, my ears have started to bother me popping/cracking and giving me the sensation they are in the process of plugging up.  My scalp feels warm to the touch, but I have no elevated temperature.  My scalp is somewhat tender when I feel around on it with my fingers.  The only other change I notice is that both elbow areas are tender and hurt if I try put force on them like lifting or try to carry something.  So far, I have been to three doctors and a neurologist.  Blood tests results are in the normal ranges, with the exception of having a slightly low WBC (white blood count), high total cholesterol(200ish) and being just below the diabetes level.  Since the first severe headache on November 7th,  I have had an MRI with normal outcome.  Yesterday, I had a CT Head scan and am awaiting the results.  It was interesting that my scalp itched upon completion of the scan.  The radiologist said he had never heard anyone indicate that before.  I would like to find out what is causing my condition.  It is quite stressful to have these conditions with out knowing what is the causative factor(s).  I would appreciate any thoughts/suggestions!  Good wishes and luck to you and all others suffering these and any other problems.

My wife has had similar symptoms as described on this posting. She gets some spots on her head that become very hot. Then she complains about some sore spots. I believe it has to do with some sort of restriciton on blood flow. I find some associations in lifestyle or behavior of my wife with the other folks who posted here. If other could post "yes" 10,  "somewhat" 5 or "No 0  on the following it might allows us to all pinpoint the underyling cause for everyone. As with most things it could be more than one thing.

Hot Showers (more than 10 minutes)
Eating more organic food.
Working out (running) more than 40 minutes.
Stopping a medication (sleep medicine)
Taking supplement of any kind for weight control
Drink more than 6 glasses of water a day
