Welcome to the medhelp neurology forum. Thanks for writing in. Hyperreflexia is a condition where one had overactive or excessive responses from the nervous system, causing twitches or spastic tendencies specific to upper motor neuron disease and loss of control exerted by higher brain centers on lower neural pathways. It is usually caused by a spinal cord injury. Other causes are disturbed balance of electrolytes or serotonin or severe brain trauma. The cause must be found out and treated. I have hyperreflexia in my legs, severe headache, numbness on Left arm, burning on left arm, dizzy light headed, tremors of head and vibration felt inside self and on left foot, Extreme fatigue with the lightest activity and my legs and arms feel like 1000 lbs after movement. Saw Neuropshych doctor and he tested for cognitive problems and said I have the cognitive issues as well.
MRI of head cervical and thoracic done yesterday waiting for answeres.
