Hyperthyroidism?

Hyperthyroidism?

Two weeks ago, I began to feel sick.  First, my stomach felt uncomfortable like too much thing inside.  Later, I felt weak.  I couldn't stand long.  As standing long, I felt dizzy and nauseous.  I even couldn't stand more than 5 min. Ten days ago.  And I did vomit once at that time because I kept standing as I felt really nauseous.  But, if I sat and take a rest right away, I felt alright.  I also felt sleepy.  I gussed I might be just exgusted because it just one week after I finished my project.  Before that, I usually worked from day to night even during the weekend.  To make sure everything fine, I went to doctor.  At the same time, I was recovering.  This Tuesday, I could stand two hours before feeling dizzy, and didn't feel nauseous anymore.  Now , I'm almost alright.  However, my doctor took my blood sample, and called me that my sickness might be due to the high level of hormone from the thyroid.  Although I will see him next week, I surfed on web, and found that it is called hyperthyroidism.  However, I don't have the most symptoms of it, excepted that  my pulse is kind of high than normal, and I felt weakness last week.  I am wondering what kind of tests I should run to confirm.  Is it possible that it's related to my diet?  Because I really love eating lots of seaweed (I2 rich) recently.(about 1/2 year)  If so, will my thyroid hormone level decrease as I stop eatting seaweed for a while?  If not the reason for my high thyroid hormone, could I wait until postmenopausal?  Because I heard that the thyroid hormon will produce much less after that.  One of my friend's friends after treating with radioiodine has to take medicine  forever and her(?)cholesterol level goes up.  Besides, what are the standard for the valus of the thyroid hormone level and the TSH?
Thank you so much for you help.
