I am a PT. Can a 20 month old male demonstrate sign of peripheral Neuropathy?

He even loses his balance when I am holding his hand.  In standing, he comes up on his toes and will even walk backwards to avoid falling.

This discussion is related to Periphral Neuropathy and lack of balance.

Has he seen a neurologist for a full evaluation? Had an MRI and any other tests?
