I am in need of more informaation on Arachnoid Cysts

At the age of 15, I was diagnosed with an arachnoid cyst of the brain.  I had surgery in Jan.1987 so they (the Doctors) can install a shunt.  Now flash forward 23 years, According to recent scans, that shunt is no longer there.  I have been having multiple Headaches during the day, they do not stay in the same place or last for very long.  sometimes a headache will last anywhere between 5 Sec. to 2-3 Hours  pain registering from a scale from 1-10  :5 on short times to above 10    This has been driving me nutty especially the headaches  it can at time diminish my ability to function
Locations the headaches would be is in the forehead, left temple,left eye, right temple,right eye, i get ones that radiate from the back of the head, and sometime just above the ears.  All feel like a stabbing pain as if someone was striking me with an ice pick. It can be disorientating at times.

I have been following up with my doctors regularaly, and have been in the ER twice so far for these
