I am not all here

I have been reading about the people who feel spaced out, and I that way too, I can't concentrate, I feel incompetent, I am starting a new job. And I can't remember any of the training,  I have felt so awful before, I am starting to panic thinking I can't even be a cashier!  Oh gees, how stupid I feel, I really need help, somebody tell me what to do.  I am sitting here now crying, everything is a struggle.

Are you nervous about starting your new job?  Maybe dwelling on that has been heightening your anxiety.  Perhaps just focussing on how you'll manage your first hour will help reduce your general apprehension.

I completely get you. I heard someone say or write to break up things when totally overwhelmed. Pretend you have a mini mental coach inside to uplift you. Say to self..."I'm feeling a little overwhelmed which is normal. Let me break things up." Lay out my clothes for next day. Take a hot bath. Take nice deep slow breaths. Promise a reward to self just for trying when you don't want to move a muscle. Say a prayer for peace. Get good sleep. Lots of water. And accept a virtual hug from all of us out here in this small world who understand and say "everything's gonna be alright. :)
