I am so confused about this diagnosis

After being treated for so many of the sysmtoms of lyme, I just recently was diagnosed with having lyme disease.  I have the worst time sleeping. Ok hardly no sleep at all..  I am a grateful recovering person from drugs and wish not to be put on any narcotics to help me sleep.  I was on klonipin (klonopin) for 7 years but really dont want to go back down that road agian.  I have tried everything possible over the counter and even lunesta, rozerm etc and they dont work..  I am so tired fo feeling bad and having no strength.  My doctor has told me that I need to be desensitised from the klonipin (klonopin) because my body is requiring it to sleep.  I have been off of it for 2 years and have struggeled with sleep since.  WIll I ever get back to feeling normal agian.  And just fyi they told me that I have had this approx 7-10 years and was misdiagnosed terribly.  Please help.
