I am unable to lift my right hand and thumb is numb

I went to sleep Christmas Eve night and my hand was working fine.  When I woke up the next morning, I could not lift my right hand or stretch my fingers out.  Then numbness started on my thumb.  I thought I slept on it wrong and it would fix itself shorty but it has been almost a week now and no improvement.  The second day I woke up and my hand was swollen and the palm was red hot.  Later in the day that day I noticed 2 little bumps on the red hot palm and they continued to grow - they were blisters.  They formed one big blister but since the swelling went down, they have not grown anymore.  Could this be because the skin was so hot?  I need my hand back so I am looking anywhere for what this could be.  The Dr at Urgent Care was clueless and my chiroprator as well - he thought it could be a bite of some sort but there are no fang marks or localized swelling areas.  There is one little poke mark but I don't know if it was already there or?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you.

Recommend you see a neurologist asap. Sounds like a nervous system issue.

I think I would go to the ER.  That sounds like something not very good.
