I don't thinkit Carpal Tunnel

I resently started having pain and weakness in my right hand. It was first only once in a while but now the pain is all day. I was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel but I think they are wrong. Carpal Tunnel involves the muscles in the first 3 fingers and its association with the wrist. I, on the other hand, only feel the pain and weakness in my last 3 fingers. My middle, my ring and my pinky fingers. The pain resides mostly in the knuckle but only sharp pain but it doesn't linger. I shots up my arm occasionally, sometimes the wrist, sometimes close to my elbow and sometimes close to my armpit. The side of my hand by the pinky throbs at certain times as well. Any ideas? It is painful and uncomfortable and tylenol can kiss my "you know what"... does anyone know what it could be?
