Sounds as though she has a third nerveNerve biopsy Nerve conduction velocity (oculomotor nerveNerve biopsy Nerve conduction velocity) palsyBell's palsy Cerebral palsy Cerebral palsy - resources Parkinson’s disease. If it was present before the operation then the statistics are that a third resolve completely, a third improve partially and a third don't improve. If it developed after the operation then I think the outlook is a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys less good.
So you basically have to wait, any improvement will take weeks and months. In the meantime you use an eyepatch to cover the eye, switch between eyes every few hours to give each one a bit of use in turn. That will manage the diplopia whist it recovers. If it doesn't recover you can either have prism glasses to try to improve it or eye surgery to try to correct it. Keep your fingers crossed, but there's nothing else to do at the moment, if it's going to improve it will, and if not, there's nothing you can do to change it's mind!
