Indications of head injury
Radial head injury and fatigue. She's been treated for sinus infection but has no other symptoms and CT scan showed nothing. Has had MRI of brain and scores of blood tests--no help. The pediatricians are out of ideas. She was seen by neurologist who says "migraine" and put her on daily doses of
amitriptylineAmitriptyline
Amitriptyline-chlordiazepoxide
Amitriptyline-perphenazine and naproxen and had her try: amerge, imitrex, maxalt, axert, frova, and zomig. None have helped, some have made her feel worse. Also she has no nausea and is not sensitive to light or noise. Yes, there is family history of migraines and she is an adolescent. Does it sound like migraine? She also has impacted cuspids in a v-formation above her top front teeth with large cysts surrounding their crowns. Our dentist has not seen anyone with head and facial pain from impacted cuspids before although he wonders if it could be in her case. The neurologist says she doesn't deal with teeth and won't discuss any linkage between the teeth and pain. Meanwhile this child hasn't had a pain-free moment since September. Have you ever seen a case where this constant facial pain and headaches were caused by impacted cuspids? If it is migraine is it normal to see absolutely no break in pain in over a month of treatment? Thank you.
has ur child ever been checked for tmj disorder? its a disorder with the temporomandibular joints of the jaw. a telltale sign is a clicking or popping sound when u move your jaw. i was diagnosed with this when i was about 16 or 17 but the symptoms i had were sharp pains in the head in the temple area and around my ears. u can check this by sticking ur fingers gently in her ears and ask her to open and close her mouth and u can actually feel the clicking of the jaw if it is tmj. just a thought.

Pandora
She has been to several different oral surgens and they stated
she has Temporomandibular Joint Disorder. But they could not help her because she didn't need surgery.
The pain gets worse every time it starts up the Doctors have put her on pain pills and muscle relaxants and that does not help.
She has tried moist heat that helps some but it doesn't go away.
Does anyone have any suggestions or know of a Doctor that really knows about TMJ?
Thank you
I think there is a big connection between your daughters head pressure, sinus pressure, with respect to her teeth.
The teeth and the cranium are connected. In fact, if you study the shape of the cranium and the shape of the maxilla, you will realize that the shape of the teeth and the shape of the cranium are very closely connected.
Next, I think that your daughter has become sick probably from the dental work that she has had done. I highly recommend that you take her to a Cranial Osteopath. I think that her cranium's sutures are locked up.
I am currently seeing a Cranial Osteopath myself. I have similar symptoms to your daughter. I have pressure in my nose, head, and I feel vertigo, I also have TMJ by the way. And the funny thing is, I have crooked teeth. The cranial osteopath thinks this is all connected. Your daughter is still young, she will be better off with a natural treatment rather than surgeries.
Please find a cranial osteopath and seek their help and I hope your daughter gets better.
God Bless.
