Imuran and Heart Failure

My mother was prescribed imuran for myasthenia gravis. Three years after takeing imuran she suffured from sudden heat failure. Thankfully they were able to save her but they never found a reason for the failure. The cardiologist said that simply the electrical impulses stopped. The end result was a pacemaker/defrib. surgically implanted. I have read that imuran can cause a increased heart rate but can it cause total heart failure? If im in the wrong forum I apologize im just not sure who to ask. She was put on the medication by a neurulogist. Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.
