Inflamatory to behind left ear

Yes, I have just noticed Sweeling to back of my left ear. It does not hurt or nothing. Can you help me with some answers.

does it still mean the same thing even if the swelling go's and comes.

Hi there.

These swelling can have several causes.  One is that this can be an indication of an infection inside the ear.  But these should be accompanied by other symptoms such as ear pain and hearing loss.  Another cause is swollen lymph nodes. This can be due to an infection in the scalp area (like pimples or furuncles) or other nearby structures.  Muscle stress may also cause these symptoms.  Rare causes would include neoplastic growths such as lymphoma.  As there can be several causes, I suggest that you have this looked at by your doctor and have it assessed properly.
