I have read the posts from the individuals suffering from internal tremors. I too have suffered for 2 years with an internal buzzing feeling every night and haven't had any relief from muscle relaxers, sleep meds, or anti-depressants. It is extremely debilitating and difficult to care for my family when my sleep is so disrupted. Do you have any recommendations for a treatment for internal tremors?
Hi there. It is important to rule out any reversible conditions such as problems with electrolytes especially Calcium, and Potassium. Dietary deficiencies with these electrolytes can cause these tremors and their replacement through supplementation may sometimes relieve the tremors. If the tremors are indeed idiopathic (meaning, no obvious cause can be pointed out), then treatment with neurotrophic meds can be helpful like gabapentin or pregabalin. Regards.
