Intracranial pressure and Positive ANA??

Is there any relation between intracranial pressure(pseudo tumor cerebri) and positive ANA???

I have been battling a variety of symptoms since May 2007 - the main symptoms being facial pressure, pressure or fullness in my head/feeling like not getting enough oxygen in my head or something, dizziness/foggy feeling. I also have reoccuring headaches due to neck and back problems(car accident from childhood), sore joints, fatigue etc.. which from what I read really does seem to fit the description for pseudo tumor cerebri and intracranial pressure. I have posted in another area too before,.. all common tests (MIR, CT, ENG) have come back fine. So now I am wondering about this PTC. I have loosely seen this mentioned with positive ANA, so I am wondering if anyone knows if there is any relation between the two? I was diagnosed a few years back with ANA and pretty much nothing more seemed to come of that.
I feel like I have to research and come up with possibilities on my own since doctors aren't very efficient at it and I am now waiting until April to get back in with my neurologist.

Thanks for the info.

No real help from the docs so far, just seem to try every test and hear lots of "I don't know - here try this". Can only a neurologist suggest and perform a lumbar puncture?

Hi. To my knowledge there is no corelation between a positive ANA and IIH/PTC. I have both and the positive ANA was indicitive of having rheumatoid arthritis. I have plenty of other autoimmune issues at play as well that may affect the ANA thing. They came years before the intracranial hypertension/pseudotumor cerebri. To confirm a IIH/PTC diagnoses you should have a lumbar puncture done. If the openining pressure is elevated then you have your answer and they treat from there according to your symptoms and severity. There's noone else you can see? Are they helping you at all?
