My husband had an mri done of his full spine. This was because of many undiagnosed symptoms, mostly in his left arm. He has been experiencing numbnessNumbness and tingling, tingling and pain in his arm in varrying degrees.
The research we have done says that these problems should be resulting in leg pain, not arm. Could any of these findings be resulting in his arm symptoms?
No, you will not get arm numbness with a lumbar spine problem because the nerves that go to the arm leave the spine at C5,C6,C7,C8 and T1 levels (in his neck). He could have a pinched nerve in his neck or thoracic outlet syndrome.
