Is it dangderous?

by lana99, Aug 01, 2008 01:56PM
Hello, I'm 39. 1 month ago after stress I felt dizzy and left half of my face felt numb for about 3-4 hours. Since then I feel dizzy 1-3 times a day every day. When I'm under stress my left eye twitches, I fell numbness in some parts of my face.  I had brain MRI week after the incident. It showed few small leisions - unfortunately don't have it, so don't want to confuse you. Neurologist said - nothing serious, just follow up with PCP. 2 weeks ago I had brain MRA, Neck MRA and Carotid Doppler.  Here are the results:
Carotid Doppler:
impression: no focal plaque formation or hemodynamically significant stenosis identified.
Neck MRA:
Left Carotid Artery: 2cm long segment of circumferential narrowing and shadowing of the left internal carotid artery just above the carotid burcification is identified, consistent with plaque formation and stenosis of 90-95%.
Right Carotid Artery: slight shadowing.Stenosis 20-30%.
Which test should I beleive more? What should I do? Please help!!!
