Oh, I forgot to mention that sometimes, when I wake up at night, my legs are numb and can't move. I fall down and have to wait till I can move them again. I had posterior spinal fusion when I was 16 from the thorasic to the lower lumbar; basically my whole back excluding my neck.
I am almost a year too late, but you should see a neurosurgeon and have a complete MRI work-up. Find one who knows what Chiari is and what a tethered cord is. You may have one or both based on your symptoms. Some people can live with these for years with no major symptoms and then, boom, it all comes on. Also, the neurosurgeon can review your prior surgery. I suspect since you posted this nearly a year ago that you have already seen a doctor about it.
