Is my son ok?

My son has been suffering with headaches also he sleeps alot and is confused he does not have his side vision. He had a MRI and the MRI showed that my son had a 5mm cyst in his left ventricle horn. He had a Mri when he was 5 for procosuos puberty and it did not have that cyst should I worry about this and see a neurosurgen soon.

Yes, headaches, partial loss of vision and confusion are danger signs.  I don't know if it has anything to do with the previous cyst, but all the signs are there for increased intracranial pressure.  If he were my patient I would order a CT scan or MRI this weekend!  Quix

The MRI for precocious puberty was when he was 5, but the MRI that found the cyst was recent, is that correct?  How old is your son now?  Did your son's doctor order the MRI?  If so, what has he/she recommended?

My son was diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri when he was young (symptoms: headache, nausea/vomiting, excess sleeping, sixth nerve palsy, papilladema, increased ICP), and at the same time but not related, they found that he had a small arachnoid cyst that they considered to be causing no problems.

So, from my experience, all I know is that your son's cyst might be responsible for his current symptoms, or the cyst could be unrelated.  Either way, your son seems very sick and certainly needs follow-up with a neurologist or neurosurgeon.

I hope everything goes well for you and your son.
