Is numbness normal part of healing?

by MsRenay, Sep 27, 2009 06:46PM
I fell while rock climbing almost 6 weeks ago.  I sustained 3 fractures to my sacrum, a fracture in L-5, two fractures in my pubic bone, 4 broken ribs and 2 fractures in my face.  In spite of all the damage, I feel I am healing pretty well.  However, I do still have a numb 'patch' on my left hip, covering the outer and front part of my left thigh.  Of all the things that are broken, would you happen to know which area might be the source of the numbness?  I have yet to put weight on my feet, but may get the OK for that this Tuesday...any ideas?
