Is this Lhermitte's?

Is this Lhermitte's?

When I nod my head forward, not to either side, I feel a tingling sensation that goes down my back, not the spine, but seems to start in the shoulder regions.  It continues down to my stomach, kind of coming around to the front when it gets there.  Sometimes it is more severe than at other times.  Right now, I can't get a response at all.  Sometimes it continues down to upper legs and occassionally as far as my right knee.  It occurrs while I am sitting, standing, walking or running.  It does not occur when I bend at the waist, only why I nod my head.  Come to think of it, it happens when I raise my head while in a prone position, such as when I first get up in the morning.

ALthough it doesn't the fit the classic description of Lhermitte's sign which is characterized by an electric shock like sensation that goes down the spine with neck flexion signifiying cervical cord disease, it is possible that you may have some kind of process going on in the neck which is irritating the spinal cord. Lhermitte's is not specific for any one disease and can be seen with arthritis, trauma, degenerative disc disease, and any other disease that can affect the spinal cord such as MS. If you have any weakness, numbeness and tingling of the limbs, bowel and bladder problems, consider seeing a physician and having an MRI done of the cervical spine for further evaluation. Good luck
