Is this right?

by meredith84, May 31, 2007 12:00AM
My doctor recently perscribed Amitriptylin to me for my constant headaches. Lastnight was the first night I took it. After I took it, I got drowsey (as I was told I would). I slept ok throughout the night and this morning when it was time to get up it was very hard. I felt like I was still drunk from the night before. I woke up about two hours ago and am still feeling this way. I tried to eat to see if that would help but did not. I am wandering if I should keep taking this, will my body become used to it and if so how long should it take? Any other Ideas?

hi.. my freind takes this for his pain, i just asked him and he said he was very tired etc when he first started it.. he said to lower the dose and go from there..

i am also interested in starting this for my headaches, my neurologist really thinks it would do me good both for pain and mentally..

what diagnoses have you been giving?
