Issue With Epidural Steroid Injection

Im hoping a Dr will be able to answer this...
I have had two ESI's with no problems and good relief....I had one last week it felt different than the
others when the medicine was going in...A few days after my arms and hands have become numb.
This was not a problem before..It appears that I have been dealing with a Post Viral Syndrome
with severe leg pains...Along with the numbness, my hands and feet turned brigh red and burning.
My Dr's office is closed for 2 days and I just want to know that I will be ok...Do you think the medicine
just went somewhere it shouldnt have and that's causing numbness? Will this just wear off?

I am new to this web site and don't know a whole lot but I will tell you my experience with ESI.  I had my first ESI on 6/11.  It resulted in a CSF leak.  I went back for a blood patch on 6/16.  Since then I have similar symptoms other then the redness.  An MRI showed that a Syrinx had developed.  My advice would be to insist on an MRI of the area the ESI was done and below.  Good Luck Ginger
