this is not really a quesion but I have the same symptoms as the person whose post number is JLC081493 and I just wanted to let you know that all of my symptoms such as headaches at the base of neck, pressure, ringing of the ears, increased headaches with activity is due to something called pseudo tumor cerebri which my neurologist diagnosed, and it can be agitated by lumbar punctures. You can go to your eye doctor and they can dialate your eyes and check for this by seeing if your optic nerves are enflamed. I am not a doctor and was actually looking at this site to see if lumbar puntures  that are messed up can cause some kind of nerve damage that would cause chroinc pain throughout my left (and left only) hip, knee and ankle? But I saw that persons post and thought maybe it would help to let you know about my experience.
