L4-L5 post-laminectomy question

L4-L5 post-laminectomy question

I am ~ 2yrs out from an L4-L5 laminectomy with fusion to repair a "very large, central disc herniation" that was compressing both of my L5's.  Since the surgery, I've had residual weakness, numbness and decreased temperature sensation in my left foot/leg that has basically been unchanged.  This has not been bothersome as the surgery completely resolved my pain and restored my ability to walk with any normalcy.  However, I am now 6 months pregnant and for the past 2-3 months I've been having new symptoms of occasional numbness/tingling in my right foot (I've never had symptoms on the right before) and multiple, daily spasms of my left foot & leg.  The spasms are always the same with upward bending of the foot and great toe that I cannot overcome without using my hands to assist.  Other than the pain from the spasm, I do not have any pain symptoms at all.   My question is should I be worried and if so, what type of specialist do you think I should see?  I'm not sure if this signifies regeneration of the nerve or a new problem.  The symptoms on the right side are so rare that they aren't bothersome, but the daily/nightly spasms on the left are getting out of control.  As I'm pregnant, I'm reluctant to have any imaging or to take medication at this time.
