Lacunar ischemic foci

by maheshnanjunda, Mar 14, 2008 07:51AM
Good morning,

My mother has had blurred vision in both eyes and sees coruscating shapes in the corners of her eyes for a few minutes each day, following which her vision becomes blurred. The opthalmologist recommended a brain MRI. The report was:
Lacunar ischemic foci in frontoparietal subcortical white matter, no acute infarcts or haemorrages seen.
Can you please shed light on the subject and suggest treatment options.

Thank you.

Regards,
Mahesh.
