Late onset Tubular Sclerosis Multiple Sclerosis Symptoms

I have had ongoing neurological symptoms suggestive of ms for 4 yrs.  I am currently undiagnosed. My mri's have been negative except for a 7mm brain lesion in the subcorticle layer of the right frontal lobe, nonspecific??  My current Neurologist ,whom i've see for the last year, made an appointment with an ms specialist because this all points to ms but the tests are inconclusive, clinically I would have been diagnosed!
One week before seeing him I started having a worsting of my vertig to the point that is interfering with everyday activities.
This symptom was the very first thing that happened to me 4 yrs ago!  The Neurologist i saw was an associate because his partner was out of the country.  My mri showed tubular sclerosis along lateral ventricles.  He feels this may be what is causing my symptoms, due to seizure activity!  I have read this is more of a childhood illness andf I never had any neurological problems as a child!  I question the weight of this vs ms, does this dissorder mimic ms symptoms?  He is giving this more weight than
ms and I'm concerned we may be just looking for something to pin this on?!!  I am having a spinal tap on monday and an eeg on tuesday. Just wondering what you thought!  He did say the vertigo was a central problem not pheriphreal! This vertigo has been ongoing for 2 wks and is driving me crazy, meclizine isn't working because of it being central.  Is there anything you would suggest to "get me off this carnival ride?'  The first episode 4 yrs ago lasted almost a year, I'm scared!

It would be extremely unusual to be diagnosed with tuberous sclerosis as an adult as this is often a serious neurological condition that affects patients in early childhood. It is manifest as mental retardation, seizures, skin changes, brain tumors, and kidney and heart problems. If you do not have any of these symptoms, I would very much question the diagnosis of tuberous sclerosis. The spinal tap may be of some help.

As for the dizziness, besides meclizine, scopolamine patch could be helpful (also better for peripheral) and vestibular physical therapy offered at some facilities. You could also try getting a second opinion at a dizzy clinic. If you are in the area, Dr. Oas here at the clinic would be happy to see you in our dizzy clinic. Best of luck.
