Late onset of cavernous malformation symptoms

Late onset of cavernous malformation symptoms

HI all, I've been posting on here looking for answers because my husband had a seizure at the age of 49 a few weeks ago. We've been running around getting MRI's and seeing doctors and ruling out all sorts of things. He was finally just diagnosed with 2 small cavernous malformations after having a more sensitive MRI. It didn't show on his initial CAT scan or MRI.  His doctor doesn't seem overly concerned and says he will not recommend surgery. I'm looking for information on late onset of this disorder. It seems most of the info on the web is about  people having more severe symptoms at a much younger age. Anyone have any experience? thanks!
