Leftt side of face and ear canal swollen accopmanied with a dull ache

This problem started after having had a root canal performed through the side of a back molar. This was done aprox. two years ago and seems to have gotten worse as time goes by. It has been accompanied by a dull ear ache and a slight feeling of numbness on the left side of my face. I have been to an ear doctor, a dentist and to a neurologist and the general consensus is that I may have suffered nerve damage during the root canal proceedure. I also have pain in both temples just above where the jaw joints open and close. Is there any type of test that can be done to determine what may be causing this condition in the face and ear. Is this something that I should be concerned about? The swelling appears to be getting progressivly worse

Perhaps you have TMJ or Trigeminal Neuralgia.. I would check with another Neuralagist or Oral Surgeon.  Good Luck
