Your symptoms are very suggestive of nerve entrapment. This could be due to nerve root compression in the lower back or in the front of thigh. The nerves involved could be S1 nerve root or sciatic nerve.
I would suggest you to do some back exercises apply ice packs to the affected part and take OTC pain killers. In the meantime schedule an appointment with your family doctor.
OTC B complex supplements will also help you.
