Leg jerking

Leg jerking

My daughter is now 13 and 16 months ago I took her to the ER because her leg was jerking non stop, she was feeling tingling in her toes and sometimes numbness...nothing was done, they admitted her for observation and then sent her home. Now on Nov. 20th out of the blue her same leg started jerking, once the jerking starts it last only for a couple of seconds, then she has around 20 seconds before then next one starts...I took her back to the ER, they admitted her, did an MRI and an EEG..the test came out normal, they sent her home on valium and clonidine...it has now been 21 days and the jerking will not stop. the only time it doesnt jerk is when she is asleep. Medicines are not working at all and the neurologist doesnt want to see her for another 2 months. He says this could be psychological however my child is a very happy go lucky person with nothing tramatic going on in her life. She gets good grades and gets along with everyone..what could this be and why isnt it stopping .
she is now having pains, they have started her on physical therapy twice a week, she is not able to sleep at night until her body just collapses, they now have her on xaniflex and clonidine, plus tylenol3 with codeine, and still as soon as she starts to wake up there is jerking and pain. Im getting very frustrated and I dont know what to do . Today I took her to physical therapy and they informed me that her pelvis area on her right side has raised and they had to adjust it and will have to keep adjusting it. Everything is happening on her right side. Also they had to straighten her leg out with weights and they were pulling on the leg but the more they pulled the more it jerked.

I guess I should also let you know that the ER dr and her pediatrician as well as another pediatrician AND the dr. that admitted her said this is myoclonus, HOWEVER... the pediatric neurologist who seen her for maybe 20 minutes said its not myoclonus...Her pediatrician is wanting to send her to a movement disorder center and they have no openings until july 2011....is my child going to have to deal with this until then and what happens to her muscles and nerves in the meantime?
