Leg pain

I need help.  Ever since I donated my kidney (2003) I have severe pain in my leg.  They say my nerves may have been severed or nicked during the operation but no one seems to be able to help me.  I need someone to give me some options.

What type of doctor should I see?  Will your recommendations help even if the nerve was severed during the removal of my kidney?

Thank you for any assistance you can offer.  I have actually started seeing a Holistic doctor since none of the traditional doctors have been able to help.

I look forward to your reply.

Hi,
Severe pain in leg can be due to spinal disc pathology or nerve dysfunction.
Nerve dysfunction can be due nerve irritation or nerve entrapment or due to nerve compression. Nerve compression or entrapment is usually located at the exit of nerve from the spinal vertebrae.
Pain, tingling and numbness are signs of neuropathy. Nerve involvement may be single (mono-neuropathy) or multiple (poly-neuropathy).
This peripheral nerve pathology can be due to Diabetes, Prediabetes, Vitamin deficiency, and altered blood pressure status, any nutritional deficiency, and abnormal endocrine status, compression of nerve or impingement of nerve at time of exit from Vertebrae. You should be doing HbA1C, ESR, serum protein/immuno-electrophoresis, and vitamin B12, BUN, and creatinine levels.
Keep me informed if you have any queries.
Bye.
