Leg spasms?

I'm a 22 year old female. When I was around 12 I started getting leg spasms. But they didn't seem normal. They were crippling. They were probably the most painful thing I'd ever experienced. To the point of wanting to scream. The muscle spasms were visible and to be honest, my muscles were going so crazy, it looked like a bag of worm wriggling around inside my calf. It happens less frequently now, but more painful.
It's been suggested that it's tight tendons, but I can't see how tight tendons in my ankle would make my calf look like worms. And I'm not exaggerating on that, at all. I've been told I should take a video but it's too painful when it happens to think about anything else.

Any kind of answer would be brilliant.

Hello, I just read about your situation. Sometimes, we have health issues thats difficult to diagnose.
This is how I started searching for my own family's problems.
Your problem is most likely nutritional deficiency in Magnesium.
Magnesium is a supplement that could help your spasms.
I would direct you to search on:  Magnesium and spasms .

There  is Magnesium Spray : it would ease your spasms and tightness and other issues such as anxiety, tremors, numbness, tics,  difficult sleep, > rested sleep, stomach issues, memory loss, allergies.. and so many more.

Formula for Mg Oil Spray:  Magnesium Flakes ( Ancient Minerals) :
Dissolve 1 cup Flakes into 1 cup boiled or bottled water, put into a sprayer. 8 sprays is equivalent to 100 mg Mg Chloride. There is no over dose as your body will only absorb what it needs. Some maybe sensitive to Mg Cl and so just spray non sensitive body areas first to see how it is for you. (like your legs) You could dilute it or put lotion on top if it itches or any irritation. Use it whenever you need it. It could be used all over the body.
It will get better in time. It helps in cramps, spastic muscles or where there is pain, massage it in. It feels slightly oily. Some people rinse it off, but I leave mine on. I use Ancient Minerals as its less sticky. Mg Cl is ocean water from Ancient ocean beds where they have removed the salt and impurities.
Hope this will help. Keep us posted.

Hi...leg spasms or cramping? Either should be checked by a Dr...and they should start with blood work to see if u have low levels of Vitamin B12, D and minerals like magnesium and potassium.

Do let us know how u r doing and what u find out.

I've just become aware I may have accidentally clicked the wrong category, my bad.
But I thought I should also note that sometimes this happens after long, arduous exercises, and sometimes, just completely out of the blue.
