Leg twitching

Hi

My thigh, mostly around my knee, is twitching like crazy in a random pattern and wont stop. My foot is slightly numb and so is the area twitching. It sometimes causes a slight discomfort to walk in that area and other times extreme pain that comes and goes very quickly. Its mostly just one leg, my left, and has happened before, but that was a few years ago.

I just want it to stop so i can finally sleep.

Hello.

The twitching and numbness may be due to a nerve impingement somewhere at the lower spinal level.

Have you ever visited a neurologist for this ? And has any imaging study (X-Ray, MRI ) been done ?

You could be having a recurrent disc problem.
