I have a constellation of symptoms that have manifested over the last 9 months:
Began month or so after a very small (Deer?) tickTick removal was noticed and removed . . . Had become partially embeded and fully engorged before being noticed.
EMG performed to confirm Neuropathy, Blood tests to rexamine B-12, Iron and exclude Diabetes.
Gabapentin was first regimen prescribed, later coupled with Cymbalta.
"Stroke" like experience: Left side of Brain only Severe Impaled type migrane with Right Arm and Leg rubbery/numbness and sensory mis-fires (hot/cold and pressure sensitivity were altered/muted) ensuing MRI showed no worrisome details, but minor assymetry with minor atrophy on one side of brain.
Painful Goosebumps or Extreme hypersensitivity to tactile stimuli (shirt sleeves touching arm felt like 60 grit sandpaper on sunburned skin) Tremors in Hands onset and Gabapentin was replaced with Lyrica.
Night-time spasms or large muscle ticks began and resulted in wife with insomnia awaiting each Kick or Jerk
Painful Goosebumps diminished with reduction of Cymbalta Dosage, and replaced by Extreme hypersensitivity to tactile stimuli (sandpaper on sunburned skin)
Sleep study confirmed very minor incidence of PLMS or RLS during sleep.
Mirapex added to reduce RLS or PLMS.
Waking occurences of spasms or large muscle ticks have become more frequent and more intense
Extended duration and increasing frequency of extreme hypersensitivity to tactile stimuli (sandpaper on sunburned skin)
Need HELP very irritable and unloveable when around family and our toddlers. At 33 years old, the notion of perptual drug regimen and expectation of only a limted level of pain management are not very comforting. HELP!
