Lightheaded and tingling brought on by touching skin

I have been having some problems with my health since January of this year.    I am a 38 year old mother of 3, just recently had a miscarriage and D&C in Dec 09.  My father had severe heart attack in Jan 2010.  I am 6ft 2 and 175 lbs.  Active healthy previous to the pregnancy.  Haven't felt the same since then.

Here are my present issues:
constant tingling in both my feet that is made worse by touching any skin on my legs.
tingling in both hands that comes and goes.
extremely stiff neck on left side that comes and goes
sore left jaw joint that is constant
Constant dizziness, (its not spinning but more lightheadedness)comes on when I turn my head and at any time or even when I touch my skin anywhere on my body
Muscle aches in legs and arms without muscle wasting or weakness
at times I feel warm sensations on my left lower leg (like someone is pouring water on it)
Headaches off and on
Fatigue
I have some permanent numbness in both my feet, impaired vibration sense in lower feet

I have seen my family doctor, an internist, and a neurologist. Normal deep tendon reflexes and neuro exam
CT scan no contrast in Jan 10 normal
I have had my thyroid checked.  Was normal both times
Cortisol (salivary) tests normal (adrenal)
all bloodwork is normal. urinalysis normal, pelvic ultrasound and pap normal
Holter monitor and echocardiography is normal
My naturopath put me on the following:
Magnesium 120mg 4x/day
fish oil
niacinamide 500mg 3x/day
b12 2500mcg once daily
b6 complex once daily
(all for anxiety that my symptoms were causing)

Can anyone give me any ideas about what may be causing this?
Thanks so much

Thanks for using the forum. I am happy to address your questions, and my answer will be based on the information you provided here. Please make sure you recognize that this forum is for educational purposes only, and it does not substitute for a formal office visit with a doctor.

Without the ability to examine and obtain a history, I can not tell you what the exact cause of the symptoms is. However I will try to provide you with some useful information.

One condition that comes to mind when reading your constellation of symptoms is fibromyalgia. This is a true medical condition that leads to whole body pains. The cause is unknown, but it is characterized by diffuse aches, sometimes GI symptoms similar to irritable bowel, sleep abnormalities, low pain threshold, and other features. It is best treated with medications such as lyrica and neurontin, exercise, and physical therapy.  Fibromyalgia occurs frequently in patients with chronic fatigue syndrome. If no cause of the condition is identified, it is best to look for other contributing factors such as anxiety or depression.

Numbness/tingling can be a form of neuropathy. Causes are many and can include nutritional (such as a vitamin deficiency) or autoimmune (such as Lupus or Sjogrens) or toxins (lead) to name a few. If the numbness/sensory changes travel, you may want to be evaluated for migraines with aura or seizure. But if the numbness is constant, I would think less likely of these causes. Also, strokes in the thalamus can cause sensory changes but with normal imaging, it is unlikely.

I recommend that you continue working with your neurologist on your condition. If he/she is not concerned about the neuropathy, fibromyalgia may be a real possibility.

Thank you for this opportunity to answer your questions, I hope you find the information I have provided useful, good luck.
