Lightheadedness

Dear Doctor,

I have been having constant lightheadedness since the beginning of October. I was prescribed Lovastatin for high cholesterol and I had to quit taking it after five days because of bad side effects. I noticed while I was taking it I didn't have any lightheadedness. I am going to ask my doctor to prescribe me Fluvastatin. I think that the statin was helping to abate the lightheadedness. Does this sound plausible? Do you think this could have a neurological cause or a cardiac cause?Thank you, Doctor.
