Nerve conduction velocity. You can determine the degree of nerve involvement electrically by doing an EMG (electromyography ) test. This should be completed in a lab well trained in these tech. The EMG can give information as to the extent of nerve injury and if any reinnervation has started. Sometimes these lesion are complete and recovery is limited and plastic surgery may need to be done. If you wish a referral to CCF call 216 444 5559.
