Lower Left Back Pain

It has been about a week and I have been having a pain in my lower left back.  I can not sleep on my left side due to the pain.  It is not severe but noticably there.  Also, for the past two months I have had a knot on my right foot.  When pressing the knot I can feel it on my second toe.  I did not know if the two health issues were related.  My first thought was my back issue has to be kidney related and my foot cancer.  But these are just assumptions.  Thank you for your help.

Does the pain in the lower left back radiate to other parts ? And does it increase on bending at the back ? There is a possibility that the nerve root may have been a problem. Otherwise, there could be a muscle pull.

Does the knot on your toe move about ? Please do not assume your ankle swelling and the knot to be a foot cancer before you show it to an orthopedic surgeon.
