    Our there any side effects to this substance used to help tecnicians see
  your x rays. Example- nerve disorder/ lack of concentration/ lack of sleep

Thanks for your question.  Gadolinium is a para-magnetic substance that
has been very extensively used as a contrast medium in MRI imaging studies.
A medical literature survey over the last 15 years did NOT reveal any
clinical case reports of significant side-effects in the usage of this
product.  In particular, there were no reports of nerve damage, cognitive
impairment, or disturbance in sleep patterns.
