Age-43
Left arm paresthesia 60-70% of day
Left leg paresthesia intermittent
Right arm paresthesia which affects thumb, forefinger, middle finger
Left and Right Facial Paresthesia
No pain
Most Common paresthesia sites Left arm and Left side of face.
Duration: 2 months
Doppler of carotids-WNL
Echocardio-WNL
Blood Tests -WNL except for hypothyroid (on synthroid for 2 months)-No effect on paresthesia
Took Medrol pack-provided some mild relief of symptoms, but symptoms never completely resolved and returned in full after course of medication.
MRI-Single focus of increased T2 and FLAIR signal in the white matter of the right deep frontal wall.
Spinal Tap-CSF clear, visualized areas of possible hypoplasia.  (Unsure of if the areas of hypoplasia was spinal cord or bone)  Dr preforming spinal said he thought he saw some "hypoplastic areas".  Waiting for other results on the CSF.
