MRI Results - MS?

I went to see my GP in October with right sided migraines, vision problems and numbness down my right arm and leg.  I was referred to a Neurologist who did various blood tests which were all okay, he also did various tests involving me walking in a straight line and resistance tests which I passed but I had decreased pin ***** feeling to the right side.  I suffer with chronic fatigue and seem to sleep most of the time, I can no longer exercise as I lose some of the the feeling in my right leg and feel as if I am dragging it.  At night my arm and leg twitches and sometimes feels completely dead,  I also suffer with intermittent lower back pain, constipation and slight depression.  The Neurologist sent me for a MRI scan which showed 'non-specific high T2 signals abnormalities in the frontal subcortical white matter  and mid-cervical c5/6 left paracentral spondylotic disc in the absence nerve root impingement or cord compression'  I discussed the result with my GP ans she said I could have MS but I am not convinced. I am awaiting an appointment to go back to my neurologist, what do you think?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
The answer to your question is I take Zomig 2.5mgs when I have a migraine or a really bad headache, the pain is only in the right side of my head usually at the back of my eye and happens usually once possibly twice per month, I can't focus, see spots, foggy vision and feel sick and dizzy.
I don't drink alcohol as I find this worsens my condition and I have never smoked.
I am on medication for hypertension which is candesartan 16mgs and atenanol 50mgs.
I have noticed that my vision seems blurry through most daysand I struggle to focus on a book or the computer, so I have made an appt to see my optician (I wear a contact lense only in my right eye as I am shortsighted -2.75) My numbness seems to be getting worse and at night I experience twitching and lack of feeling in my right limbs and pain in my lower back so much so that it keeps me awake.

Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
MS shows a characteristic periventricular distribution of white spots in the brain which have to be complemented with finding oligoclonal bands in the CSF upon lumbar puncture.
At this point it is very difficult to give a straightforward answer. Other causes of white matter changes in the brain are Migraine, stroke, smoking, alcoholism, brain infections, and chronic headache.
It s also important to know, if you are taking treatment for migraine or not.
